Jeremiah 17:5-8 KJV
[5] Thus saith the Lord ; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord . [6] For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. [7] Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord , and whose hope the Lord is. [8] For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

1-THE CURSED MAN, he trusts himself, he has no heart for God

2-THE RESULT, he is like a naked tree and a stunted shrub, no fruit,no hope, no future

3-THE BLESSED MAN,  he trusts God, he has a heart for God

4-THE RESULT-he is like a thriving, productive, deep-rooted tree by the river, he has no worry, fear or concern, he constantly produces fruit, IN SPITE OF THE ECONOMY.

Psalm 92:12-15 KJV
[12] The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. [13] Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. [14] They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; [15] To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
